Hello hello! I’m still dreaming about this sweet adventure on the Oregon Coast with Brooke & Joe, and I can’t wait to spill all the beans to you! So, picture this – an Oregon Coast engagement session filled with love, family heirlooms, and tons of laughs. Yep, it was as fun & dreamy as it sounds!

Let me start by saying that this session was all about documenting those candid and intimate moments that truly make a couple’s love story come alive. I wanted their photos to look like a documentary of their relationship, something that deeply expressed their values & devotion to one another. And let me tell you, it was a success!

We met in the late afternoon at the Oregon Coast, and I instantly knew this was going to be something special. From the grasslands to the ocean sounds, it was the most perfect place for a picnic on the Oregon Coast. Their chemistry was off the charts, and they were so laid-back and up for anything. They trusted the vision I had in mind. It was like working with old friends.

What made this shoot even more unique were the family heirlooms they brought along. It was like these items had their own stories to tell, and I wanted to capture every detail. They decided to bring along a vintage picnic basket that belongs to Brooke’s parents. Hear this, her mom & dad used this heirloom on their wedding day. It was still filled with their red and white striped picnic blanket and cutlery. This heirloom brought an extra layer of meaning to their Oregon Coast engagement session.

Now, let’s talk outfits. Minimalist was the name of the game, my friend. Brooke & Joe opted for neutral and earthy tones, allowing the stunning coastal backdrop to take center stage. I wanted the focus to be on them, their connection, and the breathtaking scenery surrounding them. And boy, did it work like a charm!

We explored rocky cliffs, golden sand dunes, and danced along the coastline. They were up for anything and everything, which fueled my adventurous spirit to the max. Couples like Brooke & Joe rock my world — trusting every choice I make knowing their vision will be brought to life through the photos.

By the end of the session, I was buzzing with excitement. I had captured every little detail, every stolen glance, and every burst of laughter that these two shared. Documenting Brooke & Joe on the Oregon Coast amidst the ocean air and rocky mountain side was so perfect. Not to mention their intentionality in choosing this iconic location in Oregon and their precious family heirlooms. It’s sessions like these that remind me why I document couples in the first place; to know them, love them, & walk with them in life before & beyond their wedding day.
